Volunteering at School
We love our volunteers! There are many opportunities to volunteer in the classroom, library, on field trips, and at school events. Volunteering at your child's school enriches the school experience for you, your student, and her/his classmates. The Board of Trustees and SUSD staff encourage parents, guardians, and community members to share their time, knowledge, and abilities with our students.
For the safety of our students, and to be in compliance with California Education Code 35021 and Board Policy 1240, school volunteers must be screened and authorized before they can volunteer.
In order to become an authorized volunteer, please visit saratogausd.org/volunteer to download the information packet and required forms. Fingerprinting services will be available at your school's Back-To-School events or you may visit the approved location listed in the volunteer packet to begin the process as described in the volunteer packet.
Once you are authorized to volunteer, you do not need to go through the clearance process again as long as your child and/or sibling(s) are continuously enrolled in SUSD.
