As a courtesy to our district parents and community, approved online "flyers" for district and local activities are posted weekly. If you are a local non-profit interested in posting an activity flyer, scroll down to view the approval criteria.

SUSD 3rd - 8th grade students are invited to be a presenter at the 8th annual Student2Student
Conference! Students interested in being a presenter at this popular event must register online starting December 10 through January 26! Limited presenter spots are available, so please register early!
Human Sexuality is a lifelong process beginning at birth and includes one's physical, mental, emotional and social well-being. Body development, relationships, establishing boundaries are issues that affect kids of all ages.
Parents will learn how to guide kids of ALL AGES through these and other important sexuality topics in today's modern culture. All SUSD parents/guardians are welcome to attend. Presented by Ivy Chen, MPH. Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. in the Argonaut Elementary School Multi Purpose Room.
Is your student an aspiring chef? Showcase their skills by participating in the upcoming Future Chefs culinary competition! Download the entry packet and enter your “Reimagine Your Favorite School Lunch Meal” recipe.
Community Events and Enrichment
Saratoga Union School District does not sponsor, supervise, nor endorse these activities, events, organizations, or its content. Distribution of this material is provided by the district as a community service for local non-profit organizations.
Join a specialized Math Olympiad program for elementary and middle school students. Students receive instruction, explore contest challenges, and compete as a Math Olympiad team member.
For ages 14 and up. Friends and support staff are welcome. Held at the Joan Pisani Community Center in Saratoga.
Flyer coming soon. Los Gatos Cupertino Saratoga Girls Softball (LGCS) offers recreation fastpitch softball for girls age 5-16. Registration and teams for the spring season are forming now. Start a school team with your friends and classmates! Games for younger ages are played at Foothill Elementary School. Visit www.lgcsfastpitch.org/
Explore Vasona Park and learn about Native vs. Non-Native, Poisonous vs. Non-Poisonous. Collect data about biodiversity in the park just like scientists do. Play games that investigate invasive species. Meet live animals in the Nature Center.
Need volunteer hours? Love working outside surrounded by wildlife? Come help at the Environmental Education Center Restoration Work Days. Help plant native plants and remove invasive species.
Middle and high school students welcome! Younger students may also volunteer as long as they are accompanied by a parent/guardian. Select one work day or many: Dec 14, Jan 18, Feb 22, Mar 14, Apr 25, May 9.

Approval Process for Flyer Postings
In an effort to limit the volume of flyers sent to district families, the Saratoga Union School District has instituted the following guidelines for flyer approval. Approval includes but is not limited to the following:
- The organization, program or event is not for profit
- The organization, program or event supports the overall mission of the Saratoga Union School District.
- The organization, program or event provides support through local Saratoga Union School District partner organizations such as: Saratoga AYSO, City of Saratoga, Saratoga Recreation Department, Los Gatos-Saratoga-Cupertino Girls Softball Association, and the Los Gatos-Saratoga Community Education & Recreation Department.
- The organization, program or event does not directly compete with local Saratoga organizations or Saratoga Union School District partner organizations.
- The program is held locally in Saratoga or Los Gatos
Flyer approval is at the discretion of the Superintendent of Schools for the Saratoga Union School District.
Flyers generated and distributed by school site PTA, Saratoga Education Foundation (SEF), Saratoga Recreation Department, Los Gatos-Saratoga Community Education & Recreation Department, and the City of Saratoga will receive a higher priority. District school site administrators will refer all organizations, program or event coordinators to the district office for flyer approval.
If your flyer meets the above criteria, please email email@example.com the following information:
- Contact name
- Contact phone number and e-mail address
- Proposed flyer material attached in PDF format only. The file size cannot exceed 2 megabytes.
- Copy of IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit status documentation
A district office staff member will be in touch via e-mail as to the status (approved or denied) of proposed flyers as soon as possible. Due to the volume of flyers received at the district office, please allow 2-3 weeks for district office staff to confirm the status of your flyer.
Upon approval of your flyer, you will be contacted by the district office. Approved flyers are posted online on our Community Events webpage saratogausd.org/flyers. The method of flyer distribution (eNews, paper copies, etc.) will be determined by the Superintendent and/or individual school site administrators.
