Message from the Principal

  • Dear Foothill Families,

Welcome to the 2022/2023 School Year! I am so excited to begin my journey as your new principal and continue the exceptional efforts of the staff and community in ensuring that Foothill Elementary is a place “where learners thrive.” I embrace that mantra as my educational philosophy has always been rooted in building community and relationships so that students feel a strong sense of belonging. I truly believe that it is those relationships that foster a sense of security and allow students to feel safe, take risks and grow and thrive in their academic endeavors!

I also know that a strong sense of belonging and community is so important to our families as well. As we begin this school year, I appreciate the efforts of our Foothill PTA and wholeheartedly support the “Back Together” theme as we look forward to partnering with families and welcoming everyone back to "in person" school events and volunteering opportunities. We are grateful for any time or talents that you can offer in supporting our students and the school community.

Though both of my children have graduated from university, I still remember the excitement of their first day of school like it was yesterday. We are thankful that you have entrusted us to care for and nourish your children’s social and academic needs and we promise you that Foothill staff  will care for your children as we would our own!

Please stop by to say hello and don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I look forward to a wonderful year “back together” filled with learning and laughter! Go Dolphins!

    Sincerely,

    Kimberly Dinsdale, Ed.D.
