Math in Elementary School, Grades TK/K - 5

Saratoga Union School District provides a fully developed math program from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through eighth grade. In our elementary schools, every student receives the appropriate math instruction utilizing our primary instructional materials as well as supplements the teachers find necessary. Our math program contains a balance of problem solving, conceptual understanding and basic skills. Students are given opportunities to learn using a variety of strategies and tools.

TK/K-5 Curriculum

Our district has adopted the Eureka Math TK/K-5 mathematics curriculum. Eureka Math is an enhanced version of EngageNYMath. The curriculum was developed to align with the Common Core standards and their focus on higher-level mathematical thinking, modeling and problem-solving.
