Dear Foothill Families,

Welcome to the 2023/2024 School Year! I am so proud to be the principal of Foothill Elementary and we can’t wait to welcome back our students and families on the first day of school. If you are new to Foothill Elementary this year, know that you have landed at an incredible school with a caring and experienced staff and a warm and welcoming family community.

My educational philosophy has always been rooted in building relationships and community so that students feel a strong sense of belonging. I truly believe that it is those relationships that foster a sense of security and allow students to feel safe, take risks and grow and thrive in their academic and social endeavors!

I also know that a strong sense of belonging and community is so important to our families as well. As we begin this school year, I appreciate the efforts of our Foothill PTA and Saratoga Education Foundation to support our students through community events and enrichment programs. Our 2023/2024 school year theme is “All In” and we look forward to partnering with families and welcoming everyone to participate in our fabulous school events and volunteering opportunities. We are grateful for any time or talents that you can offer in supporting our students and the school community.

Though both of my children have graduated from university, I still remember the excitement of their first day of school like it was yesterday. We are thankful that you have entrusted us to care for and nourish your children’s social and academic needs and we promise you that Foothill staff  will care for your children as we would our own!
