Students entering grades 9-12, and who are at least 14 years of age by the first day of the program, may apply to be a Volunteer Teaching Assistant (TA) in SUSD's summer programs. All TAs will receive a certificate of volunteer hours at the conclusion of the program.
Advanced academic experience is NOT required; Training will be provided.
The application process opens in early Spring and closes once all positions are filled (the number of positions varies each year). Applicants must first complete an application form and then have two (2) adults fill out a recommendation form on their behalf (recommendation forms will be provided to the applicant after the application form is received).
