Bright Futures Ahead: SUSD Celebrates Class of 2026

Saratoga Union School District pictures from the four different promotion ceremonies

June 10, 2026: Congratulations to all of our incredible Saratoga Union School District (SUSD) students who celebrated their promotion ceremonies on Friday, June 5. Turning the page to a new chapter is a massive milestone, and we could not be prouder of the dedication, resilience and growth these students have shown.

This year, we celebrated 232 eighth graders and 175 fifth graders as they take this exciting next step. Thank you to our amazing teachers, staff and families who supported them every step of the way. As these bright individuals move forward, SUSD remains dedicated to nurturing minds and inspiring futures.

May 8, 2026: Saratoga Union School District is excited to announce our 2026 Teacher and Classified Employee of the Year. Nominated by their colleagues, please join us in congratulating Vicki Andary, a first grade teacher at Foothill Elementary School, and Selena Weaver, the administrative assistant at Redwood Middle School.

“SUSD is a tight-knit community, and our staff members care deeply for the wellbeing of our students and families,” Superintendent Dr. Ken Geisick said. “In a society with so many differences, these employees bridge barriers to ensure growth and success during our students’ vital formative years in addition to benefiting their colleagues.”

Redwood Middle School Named 2026 California Distinguished School

March 13, 2026Redwood Middle School was among 408 middle schools and high schools across the state selected for the prestigious 2026 California Distinguished Schools Award. California’s school recognition program recognizes exceptional schools that distinguish themselves on the basis of exemplary student outcomes.
 
 "An excellent public education has the power to transform lives, and I commend the educators and school communities who have dedicated themselves to producing exemplary results," said State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond.
