School Site Council Overview:

The Saratoga School Site Council (SSC) is a voting council made up of representatives of the school community (principal, parents, teachers and school staff). Council members develop programs and focus on school goals and the school environment. Council members serve a two year term.

The Role of the SSC is to:

  1. Develop a Single Plan for Student Achievement
  2. Recommend the plan to the governing board (State) for approval
  3. Monitor the implementation of the plan
  4. Evaluate the results
  5. Annually revise and recommend a new Single Plan for Student Achievement

The Single Plan for Student Achievement or SIP program is funded by the State of California to provide instruction for students in grades K-5. Funds are also used for staff development and the purchase of educational materials.
