California Distinguished School 2013

April 12, 2013: Redwood Middle School has been selected as one of the 2013 California Distinguished Schools. The award is an honor and reflects Redwood Middle School’s strong commitment and innovative approaches to improving student academic achievement.

State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson described the schools receiving the 2013 California Distinguished School Award, "these schools have gone the extra mile to provide high-quality instruction that puts their students on the right path toward career and college. Given the enormous challenges schools have faced in recent years, it is inspiring to see this kind of success in so many schools. First Day of School, Monday August, 19th

Schedule pickup day is Thursday, August 15th, 1-4pm and Friday, August 16th, 9-11am in the multipurpose room both days. The first day of school, August 19th, 6th Grade attends 8:10-11:15 and 7th and 8th Grades attend 12:30-3:05pm.

LGS SUMMER SCHOOL

Redwood will once again host the LGS Summer School Enrichment Programs. To reach these programs please call 408-867-3042 and use the following extensions.

Summer Activities:
District-approved flyers for summer camps, classes and events are posted on the SUSD Flyers Online webpage. In an effort to "be green" all flyers are now posted online instead of hardcopy distribution. Postings include the SUSD Gifted and Talented "Bright Ideas" Handbook, Redwood Music Camp for grades 3-8, and lots of local camps, classes and fun activities.

New or Returning Students:
The District Office will be open during the summer on Mondays-Thursdays from 8:30-12:30 or by appointment for registration, to drop off immunization updates, or if you have questions. Visit the SUSD Registration webpages for new student registration information. Office hours and closure dates are posted online.

2013-2014 Calendar:
The 2013-2014 school year calendar is now available. Please note the change for SLCT days for the upcoming school year.

Summer Office Hours

Redwoods office will be open until June 30th. Summer hours are Monday- Friday from 8:30am-12:30pm. We are happy to schedule appointments outside these hours.
