OPEN ENROLLMENT POLICY:Saratoga Union School District is an open enrollment district. (Board Policy 5116.1: Education Code 35160.5) This means that parents may request the school within the district you wish your student to attend provided they reside within the boundaries of our district and space permits. No addresses have been assigned to any school. Residency in the district must be provided by the student's parent/legal guardian at the time of registration and while the student is enrolled in SUSD. When a parent/guardian comes in to the SUSD Registration Office to submit registration paperwork, staff will ask the parent/guardian for their first and second choice of elementary school sites. There are three elementary schools in SUSD: Argonaut, Foothill & Saratoga Elementary. Placement at an elementary school site is based on space availability. All students in 6th-8th grade attend Redwood Middle School. SCHOOL DISTRICT LOCATOR: Within the City of Saratoga, there are 5 different school districts - including a portion of Campbell, Cupertino, Los Gatos, and Moreland School Districts as well as SUSD. Before starting the registration process, it is important to determine which district your property is in. REGISTRATION PROCEDURE: Registration packets must be signed out by a parent or guardian from the district office, located at 20460 Forrest Hills Dr., Saratoga, CA. 95070. CLICK HERE for office hours and times that registration materials are processed. NOTE: Registration packets for the 2010-2011 school year will be available starting February 1, 2010, and may be returned from February 8 through April 30, 2010 between the hours of 8:30am-12:30pm. NOTE: Because SUSD must keep a specific count of the number of registration packets distributed, registration materials and some residency forms must be picked up at the district office. If your student is currently attending our district schools, there is no need to re-register.
