Substitute Teaching Information

Pay Rates:

• $125/Full Day Rate
• $62.50/Half Day Rate

Requirements for substitute teachers are as follows:

• The applicant must have passed the CBEST or must have taught within Santa Clara County in the last 39 months. 
• The applicant must hold a valid California credential appropriate for teaching grades K-8 OR
  
  • Must show proof of completion of university-level credentialing program; OR
  • Must show proof of enrollment in a university-level credentialing program; OR
  • Must be able to document significant hands-on experience working with students in a classroom setting.
