- Kindergarten Interviews will be held May 23-24. Your incoming Kinders and prospective Transitional Kinders born before November 2 2007, must already be registered with the district in order to participate. Please call the District Office to schedule an appointment.
- Transitional Kindergarten: if your student's birthday falls between November 2 - December 2, 2007 and or you have a "young 5" student, please visit the TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN WEBPAGE.
All new incoming students: Visit the SUSD Registration Webpage for K-8 new student registration information, required immunizations, proofs of residence requirements, and more. Currently enrolled students do NOT need to re-register! Registration is open to students who reside within Saratoga USD boundaries. To determine if your property falls within SUSD, visit the Santa Clara County Tax Assessor's Website, where you may enter in an address and see which school district it belongs into. |

Transitional Kindergarten |

On May 8, 2012 the SUSD Board of Trustees approved the creation of a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) class for the 2012-2013 school year. The TK class will the a "stand alone" class held at Argonaut Elementary School. "Stand alone" means that only children enrolled in a two-year Kindergarten program will be in this class.
If your child's birthday falls between November 2 and December 2, 2007, and you are a district resident, you are eligible to enroll. Families with a "young 5" student whose birthday falls before November 2, may enroll in TK as space permits... READ MORE |

April 26, 2012: We are pleased to announce that Jennie Lau, current Redwood parent and Redwood Co-PTA President, has been selected by the Saratoga Union School District administrative staff and principals to be our West Valley ACSA Volunteer of the Year! Over the past decade, Jennie has worked tirelessly as a volunteer at Argonaut Elementary School and Redwood Middle School both as a "worker-bee" and in leadership roles in PTA, SEF, SMB, Girl Scouts, and much more. The mission of ACSA, the Association of California School Administrators, is to support California’s educational leaders, ensure all students have the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel, and champion public education. California Distinguished School |

March 29, 2012: Argonaut Elementary School has been selected as a 2012 California Distinguished School. The award is an honor and reflects Argonaut Elementary School’s commitment to ensure that each student receives a rigorous, comprehensive, balanced and integrated educational program in a safe, caring environment. State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson announced the winners on March 29, "The schools we are recognizing today demonstrate the incredible commitment of California's teachers, administrators, and school employees to provide a world-class education to every student, in spite of the financial hardships facing our state and our schools. Common Core State Standards |
The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) were developed through a state-led initiative to establish consistent and clear education standards for English-language arts and mathematics that would better prepare students for success in college, career, and the competitive global economy. In 1997, California adopted its first set of content standards in English language arts and mathematics and over the last 15 years California has continued to develop standards-based education in other content areas. In August, 2010, the California State Board of Education adopted new Common Core State Standards (CCSS).
