Welcome Letter from the PTA Co-Presidents
We hope that you had a relaxing and restful summer break. On behalf of the Argonaut Parent Teacher Association (PTA), we would like to welcome you to the 2011-2012 school year. During this coming school year, PTA will keep working with the school to provide our students with a safe and fun learning environment, and to support our school and staff. Moreover, we hope to create more opportunities to bring Argonaut families together. We hope that you and your family will get involved or join us for some of our fun activities. These opportunities will not only offer your student memorable learning experiences, but also give your family chances to get familiar with the Argonaut community.
Just do it – PTA Major Fundraiser
Your donation is a valuable investment in our students. More than 78% of the PTA donation is budgeted to purchase resources for our students and classrooms. PTA also sponsors events such as Family Spirit Day, Math Fun Night, Movie Night and many more. Annually PTA evaluates our school’s needs and makes purchases for playground, computer lab, technology additions or other campus improvements. Your donation of $100 per student is what makes all this possible. Please Just Do It!
PTA Membership Drive
Argonaut PTA invites you to become a member of the PTA. Your $15 membership fee also includes a copy of the Argonaut Directory, an important handbook for the school event schedule and resource for you to connect with other Argonaut families. Being a member also enables you to vote at PTA meetings.
Online Directory Contact information Entry – Be Included! (NEW)
This year, in line with Saratoga High and other schools in this district, your directory contact info needs to be updated online. Fill up your information at http://www.afsrs.tdco.us/ and be included in our school directory.
Volunteer Opportunities – Be Involved!
Volunteering is a great way to get to know the Argonaut staff, your child’s friends and other Argonaut families. Your involvement is also critical for us to hold those events that our kids love so much. Join us at the room parent meeting on Thursday, Aug 25th, 8:45AM in the Multipurpose room, look out for volunteer sign-ups on the Argonaut eNews, or simply e-mail us at

PTA Meetings
